The folding structure is suitable for vehicles with limited space. The backrest and seat cushion are connected by a hinge mechanism. After unlocking, the backrest folds forward to cover the seat cushion, or folds backward to be flush with the rear platform, forming a double-decker bed or a horizontally unfolding bed. The hinges use heavy-duty hinges or pin shafts, assisted by gas springs to reduce operating effort.
The flip-over structure is often found in side-facing sofas. The entire seat is fixed to the side wall of the vehicle compartment via a rotating bracket. During the day, it serves as a vertical seat; at night, the locking mechanism is released, and the entire seat flips over to become a horizontal bed. The space below can be designed as a storage compartment.
